The Touch (engl.)
The Touch is an amazing new concept in family table games. Based on the sense of touch; as the name implies; players challenge a sense often taken for granted. Through tactile perception; players identify and collect ?toys?; a reward that children especially love! This game is truly for the entire family; from ages 5 and up; including people of all abilities. To play the game; players spin the game board to select a card. They then activate the 30-second timer and reach inside the container to find the matching play pieces. The player cannot see what they are feeling; they are visualizing each item as they search. At the same time their opponents are engaged while observing them through the transparent viewing area on the opposite side of the dome. They are shouting and giggling; giving directions or bluffing them! The goal of the game is to collect the most pieces and cards; with completed sets being worth double!Players can ?lay stake? to any card they collect at least one piece from. This feature gives the players increased opportunities to collect but also forces them to rely on their memory! Plus; each new turn also provides a new card; so play becomes faster paced as play progresses!Other players can spin on a card that another player has started; and whoever draws the last piece off a card; also collects the card! The players have the option to ?trade? or ?barter? with each other; in order to obtain complete sets. Scoring is simple; with single cards and pieces worth 10 points each and each piece of a complete set worth ?double?; or 20 points each. The scores are tabulated when all the pieces and cards have been withdrawn from the container. Then the Bonus Round begins after all the pieces are returned to the container. Each player tries to withdraw as many correctly identified pieces as possible ; in 30 seconds! They must say the name of the object before they pull it out. If they are wrong; time?s up! Each correctly named piece is worth 10 points and bonus round score is added to game play score.Playing The Touch is different every time you play! There are some options in the directions that allow the rules to be adapted to different play situations. For example; it is suggested that half (or less) of the pieces are used for beginner players; and then you work your way up to include them all! Plus; new Expansion Packs (sold separately) provide evolving game play!
